We have our own relaxation area in the LIFE Health Lounge in Basel, where you can give your body and mind rest and deep relaxation as a perfect complement to our training and nutrition area. A particularly important part here are our yoga courses.
For us, yoga is more than just stretching. Our yoga in Basel picks you up, lets you forget everyday life: concentrate on your own inner breathing and give your body, mind and soul new strength, balance and deep peace through guided exercises in tension and relaxation.
Physical and mental relaxation is just as important as exercise and nutrition. It is part of our holistic concept in Basel and is practiced by us in the triad of training, nutrition and relaxation. It rounds the other areas and is primarily used to reduce stress, which has a negative effect on the figure and muscle growth, and thus often makes success in the other areas possible in the first place.

Our yoga teachers in the LIFE Health Lounge offer individually tailored yoga lessons in small groups, which are carried out in a relaxed, intensive atmosphere.

HATHA YOGA – THE MINDFULNESS LIFESTYLE
Hatha Yoga describes practicing on the mat on the one hand – but also much more: it is about a mindful lifestyle, a varied healthy diet, a positive mindset and also the balance between tension and relaxation. The exercises are static and strengthen the entire body. Hatha Yoga is perfect for beginners or for everyone who wants a calm balance to their stressful everyday life.
YIN YOGA – THE DEEP RELAXATION
Yin Yoga is a very calm, relaxed and passive style of yoga. One works here primarily on an energetic level. Yin stands for calm, femininity and the gentle. The main thing here is to be present in the moment and to feel pure within yourself. The exercises (asanas) are held for a long time – this relaxes the muscles, the connective tissue and the ligaments, which in turn leads to smooth and flexible mobility if practiced regularly. Meditations are often part of the session. The yoga style is suitable for both beginners and advanced.
VINYASA YOGA – CREATIVITY IN FLOW
Yinyasa Yoga is a modification of Hatha Yoga and is also called “meditation in motion”. The yoga style is very dynamic. As challenging as it is for the body, it is soothing for the mind. The special thing about it is that the asanas are not practiced individually, but merge into one another. Through targeted breathing, the exercises are connected with each other and flowing movements are created – the Vinyasa Flow. Best suited for those who have practiced yoga before and experienced yogis. Beginners might have trouble keeping up here.
